Kaj so piškotki?
Piškotek je mala tekstovna datoteka, ki jo spletna stran, ki si jo ogledujete, prenese na vaš računalnik ali drugo napravo, s katero brskate po spletu (telefon, tablico). Za uporabnike so zelo koristni, saj vsebujejo informacije, ki pripomorejo k boljšemu delovanju spletne strani. Piškotki ne zbirajo vaših osebnih informacij in ne omogočajo nikakršne identifikacije uporabnika spletne strani.
Kako delujejo piškotki?
Ob prvem obisku spletne strani se piškotki naložijo na vaš računalnik. Z njimi je uporaba spletne strani prijetnejša, bolj učinkovita in prilagojena posameznemu uporabniku. S piškotki se shranjujejo informacije o jezikovnih in lokacijskih nastavitvah, o vsebini vaše nakupovalne košarice, prikazujejo se vam oglasi, prilagojeni vašim interesom … Upravljavci spletnih strani pa z njimi pridobivajo podatke o številu obiskovalcev svoje spletne strani, najbolj branih vsebinah, največkrat uporabljenih funkcionalnostih … in na podlagi tega lahko izboljšajo in naredijo do uporabnika prijaznejšo spletno stran.
Vrste piškotkov
Začasni ali sejni piškotki (session cookies) se ne shranjujejo, ampak se izbrišejo vsakič, ko zaprete brskalnik.
Trajni ali shranjeni piškotki (persistent cookies) ostanejo shranjeni, tudi ko brskalnik zaprete. Uporabljajo se za shranjevanje informacij o registraciji, nastavitvah jezika strani, za analiziranje prometa … V računalniku lahko ostanejo več dni, mesecev ali celo let.
Lastni piškotki (1st party cookies) so s spletnega mesta, ki si ga ogleduje uporabnik, in so lahko trajni ali začasni. Spletno mesto te piškotke uporablja za shranjevanje informacij in jih bo znova uporabilo, ko bo uporabnik naslednjič obiskal spletno mesto.
Drugi piškotki (3rd party cookies) izvirajo z drugih, partnerskih spletnih mest (ta na primer prikazujejo oglase na izvirni spletni strani ali merijo promet). Tretje strani z njimi lahko zbirajo podatke o uporabnikih z različnih spletnih mest in jih uporabljajo za različne namene, npr. za oglaševanje, analize, izboljševanje svojih produktov.

What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that the website you are viewing transfers to your computer or other device you use to browse the web (phone, tablet). They are very useful for users, as they contain information that helps the website work better. Types of cookies
Temporary or session cookies are not stored, but are deleted every time you close the browser.
Persistent cookies remain stored even when you close your browser. They are used to store registration information, page language settings, to analyse traffic… They can stay on your computer for days, months or even years.
Own cookies (1st party cookies) are from the website the user is viewing and can be permanent or temporary. The website uses these cookies to store information and will use them again the next time the user visits the website.
Other cookies (3rd party cookies) originate from other partner websites (for example, they display advertisements on the original website or measure traffic). Third parties can use them to collect user data from various websites and use it for various purposes, e.g. for advertising, analysis, improvement of its products.
